About Us
What We Do
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is widely regarded as the go-to therapy intervention to support healthy development among those diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). ABA focuses on developing individual strengths and critical life skills that help individuals live more comfortably.
ABA therapy gives way to understanding how behavior works in real-life situations. The goal of ABA therapy is not to change the individual, but to increase behaviors that are helpful and beneficial and lessen behaviors that are harmful. Some goals associated with ABA therapy include:
- Increased language and communication skills
- Heightened attention, social skills, and independence
- Reduction of maladaptive behavior in the environment they occur.
How We Do It
ABA Therapy can be tailored to fit your family’s needs in a variety of ways. Bridge Behavior Consulting creates positive change for your family in the following ways:
01
Direct Therapy
For children with challenging behaviors and those with more significant behavioral difficulties, Bridge Behavior Consulting has the experience and expertise to make a difference in your family’s life by providing 1:1 services. Your child will be paired with a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) who will work directly with him/her to develop new skills and address behavioral challenges.
02
Home-Based Services
A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will work with your family to determine the most effective treatment model for your child. In some cases, services will be provided at home to address behavioral difficulties or skill deficits that are impacting your family at home. Your child’s clinical team will work with you throughout treatment to address the skills that matter, where they matter.
03
School-Based Services
A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will work with your family to determine the most effective treatment model for your child. In some cases, services will be provided at school to address behavioral difficulties or skill deficits that are impacting your child in the classroom. Your child’s treatment team will work with you and with school staff to develop the most effective treatment model to set your child up for success.
04
Staff and Caregiver Training
Bridge Behavior Consulting offers high-quality training experiences for teachers, school administration, parents, residential staff, and other human service professionals. Staff and/or caregiver training will be a key feature of your child’s treatment program as it encourages success both in and out of session.
